Retro Wedding... it's the 1960's!

It was with great pleasure, and some hope and excitement, that I took the job of Trish and Adam's wedding. This was to be no ordinary wedding (in truth they never are). But this one was to be very different, a 1960's themed wedding!

When it came to the day I was not disappointed!! This, of course, was never in doubt. Trish and Adam are creative types and were fully behind the concept. Incredibly in 3 months they managed to prepare everything, mostly made by themselves or family and with the remaining roles handed to local tradespeople. The Pelican (Stapleford) laid on some fabulous 60's food, and Chris Rhind-Tutt was up all night preparing the beautiful flower displays. The day was rounded off by a very impressive Beatles tribute band who not only sounded like the Fab Four, but had the band members banter to go with it.

Having seen all the hard work people put in I was especially pleased that Trish and Adam were so delighted with my work and the detail I caught on camera for them. Trish has since told me that in years to come she would have forgotten many of the things I photographed. Now, "I can look back and be proud that I achieved all those things myself in just three months"! Well Trish, you deserve those memories. It was a brilliant day. May Trish and Adam have a long and happy life together!!!

More from Trish and Adam's retro wedding can be seen here.
